Description
These little speed checkers fit in the palm of your hand and have a rechargeable battery inside that allows you to recharge it via a Micro-USB cable (same type the SkyRC NC1500 uses).
If you want to bring your tuning game to the next level we’d highly recommend you picking one up. Many racers in Japan prefer to tune this way due to consistency. The use of charging devices at Japan Cup events is illegal, you’re allowed to discharge though. Reasoning is that Japan Cup Races host over 1,000 racers each event of which they cannot possible have even power outlets for each racer, nor do they expect all racers to buy portable battery packs and chargers as well. Hence the only use of a discharger at these events. Many top racers will charge batteries the night prior to an event and bring multiple paired sets to the event. Once the batteries have cooled this allows for much more precise and consistent tuning.
This speed checker will give you the following Data:
Current speed of your machine in (km/h)
Average speed while the machine.
Max km/h it hit while on the checker
RPM of the machine, (this number will not correlate with raw RPM measured off a motor directly due to the gearing it passes through to translate the RPM to the wheel)
It uses a simple 19mm roller as the medium to check speed, this roller just like your cars rollers does need a drop of oil from time to time. Please be sure to oil it before use.
